Lakers star LeBron James has spoken out about famed player and coach Paul Silas, who has died at the age of 79.


James spent his first and most of his second season in the NBA under Silas with the Cavaliers.


Probably one of the best people I`ve met. The beginning of my journey in this league predicted by livescore began with him. His team, his principles, his attention to detail, but at the same time his love for family. . .


My sympathies to all his family, his wonderful wife and of course Stephen Silas in Houston.


Every time I went back to Charlotte, he always came to the games. And I always tried to find him in the crowd. It`s very sad to hear this news.
