ESPN analyst Kirk Goldsberry has released an infographic demonstrating where LeBron James shot from early in his career, and from where the Lakers star forward prefers to attack lately.
In his rookie season, just 10. 1 percent of LeBron`s shots were from behind the arc, 29. 4 percent were from middle distance. Those numbers have changed significantly in his 20th season: 22. 6 percent from behind the arc, 10. 6 percent from middle distance.
Since the start of the 2020/21 season 27. 9 percent of James` points have come from three-point range.
LeBron also significantly reduced the number of passes under the ring. In the 2019/20 season, James averaged 13. 9 passes per game, according to Second Spectrum. This season, he has reduced that to 8. 0 passes, the lowest in his career.
