Serena Williams returns to the court at Fed Cup
Former World number 1 Serena Williams (USA) will make a comeback in the match against Holland from the first round of the Fed Cup World Cup, unofficially world women`s tennis championship.
Williams is claimed to be the duel of couples on Sunday in Ashville in tandem with Lauren Davis. This will be the first official match for the 36-year-old Australian Australian last January when she won her 23rd Grand Slam title.
She later announced she was pregnant and missed the rest of the season, and in September she gave birth to her daughter Alexis-Olympia. Williams, who had serious health problems during pregnancy and had to give birth six weeks before the emergency cesarean term, said he still can not announce plans for the upcoming season.
She resumed training in November and played a demonstrative match mentioned by live soccer streams against Eleanora Ostapano (Latvia) at Roland Garros in late December in Abu Dhabi, but subsequently refused to defend her title at the US Open because of insufficient physical training.
`At this stage, I do not know how the season will develop for me and whether I will participate in the other Grand Slam tournaments. ` I am now focused on the upcoming Fed Cup and then we will see, `she said.
`I have long-term plans, but now my goal is to start playing again. ` Naturally, winning the (record) 25th title by the helmet is something I would like to achieve, but I have always hated setting myself borders, `said the American.
`It is normal for me to have difficulty getting the physical form I need in light of the difficulties I`ve been through, I`m calm, I have nothing to prove, I`m just trying to compete again, ` Williams said.
